Halloween Happiness {Cheer and Grumpy}

I absolutely LOVE Halloween with our kids. Especially when we can celebrate it with the rest of the family. This year, we decided to go way back to my childhood with their costumes. They recently became really interested in the Care Bears after watching the series on Netflix and after much deliberation about the perfect Halloween costumes this year, I found these online (since Care Bear merchandise is few and far between). Of course, I let Taylor and Landon look at them and decide for themselves if they wanted to be Cheer and Grumpy on their own. (Originally, they wanted to be Shrek and Fiona, which would've been totally cute too, until they saw these) They were so excited when we received them in the mail a month ago!!!! Mommy and Daddy's decision to let them "try them on" for a sec was not a good one!!! Landon is not quite old enough to understand that we had to wait until Halloween to wear his costume ALL night so it wouldn't get dirty... needless to say, Cheer and Grumpy had to be hid until yesterday!! Outta.sight.outta mind. I have never seen Taylor so excited to go Trick or Treating!! She is so not like me!! I hated it, LOL.... We got them suited up as Cheer and Grumpy, finally, after patiently waiting ALL day and they were off (after a photo op, of course). Since we had to drive to some locations, we had to remind Taylor that she was indeed going to get to WALK to Trick or Treat!!! It was so fun watching them drag their heavy pumpkin bags loaded with sugar to all the decorated doors, say "Trick or Treat," "Thank You," and "Happy Halloween!" Taylor even tried to get candy from the parents of Trick or Treaters on the street. She saw a man waiting for his child to return from Trick or Treating and she says, "Mommy, I'm gonna Trick or Treat him," "Trick or Treat." We had to explain that she only gets candy from doorsteps, LOL. Landon, was just more concerned about us calling him "Grumpy" and NOT Landon. Oh yeah, full Care Bear mode!!  Just precious!! They loved it, had a blast, and ate candy last night (right before bed) until their little hearts were content!!! Can't wait for next year!!!! Live, Laugh, Love and always be YOU!! Cheers!!!
