Morning Fix!!

This is what gets me through the morning!! I have always loved COFFEE!!! I was "knee high to a grasshopper"(3-4yo) as my husband would say when my Papa would fix me a cup every morning in my Strawberry Shortcake cup with a dash of milk/creamer!! I remember those days and wish he was still here to get my cup of coffee and waffles that HAD to be microwaved for 10 seconds.. which I still do!! Today, I share my coffee with my kiddos who are coffee lovers too... in my Strawberry Shortcake cup!!

Ugh... this was another attempt at 'manual'.... it's so hard to venture away from 'auto'... it's sooo tempting to be lazy!! Anyway, the aroma that filled the air while shooting this was so GREAT!!!! That's what made this little project so much more fun!!!! Just thought I'd share a piece of my past that now protects me in Heaven!! Oh and let you see how I somehow rocked out natural light- too!!! Another Monday!!

So today was pretty uneventful! But I did more 'manual' practicing. My subjects consist of my children and animals, but hey, they are the cutest subjects to have... just saying. I am not a fan of Mondays (who is) except for the fact that right now, Bachelor Pad is on so I look forward to watching that after the kids are in bed. We did treat ourselves to Taco Bell tonight... yum, yum!!! I take advantage when Craig is gone, only because I know he does not like it... not to leave him out, lol. Anyway, no inspiration tonight... just wanted to jot down a few things from my Monday!! Live, Laugh, Love and Always be YOU!!!!! Cheers!!

A day with my lovely's!!!!

Fun Weekend!!!

So, I didn't blog yesterday but I will catch up today. To start, Craig and I had a wonderful weekend with the kids!! We worked on tidying up our home, shopped (window shopped, lol) and had great food!!! Craig and I also conversed about how much was invested and how much we needed to invest in our photography biz. Why do I say our? Because eventually it will be OURS. Craig is going to be my second shooter and we are going to team up and rock out gorgeous wedding photog!!!! I can't wait!!!!! I'm so serious, lol..... we're going to do this!!!! Go above and beyond to do it because I KNOW where I want to be and  that says nothing compare to what I have to do to get there :/. Needless to say, after this 5 day experience, watching J*'s CreativeLIVE series, I have really change my dynamics of thinking on a photography level. She has really opened my eyes and has inspired me (like I keep saying) to really work hard to become the type of photographer I want to be!! It's been amazing!!!!

Also, today, we went to Taylor's FIRST Orientation for PRE-K. I can hardly believe my baby will be in school!!! We already have our first fund raiser!!!! OMGosh... Really? We just moved here... I know two families in this town!!! The FREE cookie dough will have to wait until next year, lol....you know, the 'if your child raises $100 or more, they will get FREE cookie dough of choice'. Umm, is there a prize for the least (one or two) sales, LOL. I guess we'll attempt the whole door to door bit and see how that works. I usually tell the kids that come to my door to come back the next day, now I feel bad!!! THAT will be my kid, lol.... oh well!! Other than that, and the overwhelming feeling I had with all the handouts, handbooks and instructions given for a parent with their first kid in school for the first time, it went well. Did it sound disastrous?? Well, it really wasn't. I think Taylor will absolutely love it!!!! I also think that she is really going to blossom. I cannot wait!!!! My baby isn't a baby anymore!!!! This week we plan to pass our time by doing crafts, hopefully visiting with our friends (since we are all a little better), and getting our school hair cuts. Well, my Landon boy isn't going to school, but he needs the haircut the most, LOL. I hope everyone has a fabulous last week in Aug. Finally Friday!!

Today is a great day and a bad day in one!! Great- because Craig will be home tonight. Bad- well because we are all still fighting a cold and of all to get sick, Landon. He always fights sicknesses the worst. Praying for a better rest of the day. I have updated my web page (www.mytlcphotography.com) a little this am and continuing the hunt for bettering my business and finding ways to reel in business!! Sometimes I think to myself, what in the world was thinking trying to be a pro photographer?? There are so many great ones out there. But, I know I'm good at what I do and somewhere in my crazy mind, lol, I have the drive!!! I have what it takes, and that's what keeps me pursuing my passion!!! And if I, (like Jasmine* said), find ways to stand out, be myself and know who I really want to be as a photographer-- I can be as good as any!!!!

Phew, now that that deep thought is out-- it's time to get lunch started and prepare for day 3 of J*'s wedding photography class.. It's WEDDING DAY!!!! Can't wait!!! Always Remember: Live, Laugh, Love and be YOU!!! Until next time- Cheers!!!

LIVE Class!!!

So, this is the 2nd day of Jasmin Stars Wedding Photography Class via CreativeLIVE. It's soo fun, I am learning so much and she has such great advice. I have to give credit to Manda Koolis (www.mandolinproducations.com) for showing me this opportunity last minute yesterday!!!(thank you Manda) Since it's FREE, it's great for me to learn so much more about how to be a better photographer. I'm on a Mission!!

Ok so, this is my first attempt at blogging, new to the scene and don't really know what I'm doing. But I can only learn by trying. I always want to keep a journal but, honestly I forget after a few days and cannot stay consistent. We'll see how this goes!! I have so much going on in my head these days and I totally get frustrated with the fact that I cannot do it ALL at once!! My family and I just moved to Wichita, KS and I am trying to find ways to get my 'name' out there for my photography business. It's quite discouraging and I have realized, (thanks to Jasmine Star's wedding photography class via CreativeLIVE), that if i don't be proactive and start making some changes and investing time, it won't happen!!!! So this is why I am going to create a blog of what is going on n my life from my home life, my photography business, and anything else that is important to me!!! KeepItReal and TAKE RISKS!!!!!!!
